Part 5: CPeO Coaching Module Example

Please find a sample of the CPeO modules which is meant as an insight into the coaching concept (english and arabic language).

Our modules alltogether form a Standard Operating Procedure to setup eLearning / blended learning services. Each module has three elements:

The guidance document (WebQuest) explains the learner how to pass through the sequence of tasks; e.g. module 2.8, "Choice of eLearning Scenario"
The study letter is the instructional material and provides relevant information about the subject
The tool (e.g. an Excel sheet) is for the action based exercises along real job tasks to turn acquired information into profound knowledge and job related results.

Our instructional modules and the instructional delivery platform can be taken over by partner organisations at no licence fees (open content and open source licence models were chosen). This should facilitate the institutionwide or even regional rollout.

Our coaching strategy is best described as action learning* to enable teaching professionals: trainees are provided with tailor-made know-how on eLearning and coached along work-based tasks as eAuthors and eTutors. The practical exercises give each participant the opportunity to already work on their own projects as a multiplier at early stages. In this respect learning time spent on the programme becomes productive working time.

^*Definition of Action Learning acc. to K.Weinstein:
a) Everyone works on a work-based project, or series of tasks
b) the group of people who join a programme and work together learn to work in a constructive and effective way
c) the emphasis throughout the programme is as much on achieving visible results as on learning
